Projects include commercial, residential, equipment support, and specialty structural engineering work. The Structural Project Engineer is involved from the conceptual and pre-design phases through construction administration and project close-out, performing structural analysis and design, preparing construction documents, and supporting field activities.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAssist Project Managers and senior engineers in all aspects of structural project delivery\nPerform structural analysis and design for building projects including commercial, residential, equipment support, and specialty structures\nRead and interpret project documents (architectural, structural, and related disciplines) in detail\nAssist with pre-design and pre-construction activities, including development of structural systems, interpretation of drawings, and coordination with other disciplines\nUtilize structural engineering software, custom spreadsheets, and analysis tools to complete design calculations\nPrepare structural drawings, specifications, and supporting construction documents\nEnsure all structural designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and contract documents\nAssist with constructability reviews and value engineering efforts\nReview shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent and contract requirements\nParticipate in construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and performing site visits/inspections of work in progress\nAssist with preparation of project status reports and participate in project meetings as required\nMaintain organized project documentation in accordance with company and contract requirements\nAssist in project close-out activities\n\nQualifications:\n1–3 years of relevant structural engineering experience\nBS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering required\nWorking knowledge of structural provisions of applicable building codes\nExperience with structural engineering and analysis software\nAbility to prepare and review structural calculations and construction documents\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with contractors, clients, and other professionals\nAbility to read and interpret plans and specifications\nExcellent computer skills\n\nPay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
