Your new team has a willingness and curiosity to see possibility and potential in everything - from the most iconic projects to our everyday conversations.Learn more about Lighting Design at Buro HappoldYour key duties:Environmental Impact Assessment work to meet planning requirements considering light spill analysis and overshadowingSunlight & daylight massing analysis for architects and developersDaylight design including specification of control devices such as louvres and shading devicesLighting strategies & master-planning for public realm and citiesLighting concept designsConcept visualization & 3D light modellingScheme outlines with cost feasibilityDetailed lighting design including architectural integration detailingLighting control specificationBespoke luminaire designSite monitoring, including programming of control systems and focusing of luminairesYour skills and experienceThis role will require the following:Bachelor or Master's Degree in Architecture, Lighting, or Architectural EngineeringCoursework and/or experience in architecture (studio and/or history), lighting, or building systems designPortfolio: Please include a link to your portfolio or attach it directly to your resume when applyingExperience using AGI, Revit, Enscape, and Photoshop beneficialExperience in 3ds Max, ElumTools, Grasshopper or Rhino a bonusInterest in the lighting design industry with an emphasis on architectural lighting design or daylighting analysisLighting related internship helpfulAbility to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible mannerEagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary teamWhat we offer:Salary range of $77,000 to $80,000.
