Carpenter Assistant

Job Description Job Title: Case Crate Builder (Skilled Carpenter)Compensation & Schedule:· Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour· Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM· Overtime: Available based on workload Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team as a Case Crate Builder. This position requires hands-on expertise in building custom wooden crates, cases, and frames from start to finish without supervision or training. Candidates must be confident in their craftsmanship and capable of producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:· Construct custom-sized wooden crates, cases, and frames based on specifications· Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood materials to required dimensions· Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently· Use pneumatic tools, including nail guns, with a high level of proficiency· Ensure all builds meet quality and durability standards· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (including sweeping sawdust and organizing materials)· Perform routine maintenance on tools, air compressors, and hosesRequired Skills & Experience:· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on carpentry experience required· Proven experience building wood structures such as crates, frames, or similar· Proficiency with:o Nail guns and pneumatic toolso Table saws and circular saws· Ability to independently build crates and structures without training· Strong measuring and cutting skills with attention to detail· Experience maintaining tools and workshop equipment· Ability to work efficiently in a production environment
