As part of Title Midwest, Inc., a Topeka-based title insurance and real estate escrow holding company, Secured Title of Texas benefits from a strong regional network across Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, and Texas.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Real Estate Paralegal role with escrow experience, located in Tioga, TX. The Real Estate Paralegal will support title and escrow operations by preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal and closing documents for residential and commercial real estate transactions. Daily responsibilities include performing title and real estate due diligence, reviewing title commitments and exceptions, coordinating with lenders, real estate professionals, attorneys, and clients to gather required information, and tracking critical dates. The role will also involve assisting with escrow file setup, preparing settlement statements, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and supporting the closing team throughout the closing and post-closing process. The individual in this position will be expected to manage multiple files simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and provide professional, responsive customer service.QualificationsStrong experience in Legal Document Preparation for real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing closing and escrow-related documents.Proficiency in Due Diligence for real property, including review of title commitments, exceptions, legal descriptions, and related instruments.Knowledge of Title Insurance practices, policies, and underwriting guidelines, with the ability to identify and help resolve title issues.Familiarity with Residential Land Acquisitions and Commercial Real Estate transactions, including reviewing contract terms and assisting with residential and commercial closings.Previous experience in an escrow, title, or real estate law office environment, preferably as a paralegal or title/escrow assistant.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple files and deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused, professional approach when working with clients and partners.Proficiency with title and escrow software, document management systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Ability to work on-site in Tioga, TX, collaborating closely with the local team in a fast-paced environment.
