This role is ideal for a hands-on structural engineer who can step in and immediately contribute to the design of a wide range of Temporary Works and other structural engineering projects. Our highly qualified structural team supports a wide range of projects, from conventional to complex, requiring practical and constructible design solutions. We combine advanced technical expertise, practical design, and a strong understanding of constructability to develop solutions that are both innovative and practical to build. If you have strong design skills, a passion for developing innovative solutions, a commitment to high-quality design, and a desire to contribute to a tight-knit team, we encourage you to apply.Experience Level: 5+ years of full-time post-graduation experienceSchedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtimeSalary: $80,000 - $120,000, salary is commensurate with experienceLocation: Columbia, MO or St. Louis, MOEssential Job Functions:Perform and/or direct the design of Temporary Works and other structural engineering projectsErection engineering and stability analysisShoring, bracing, and falsework designWork with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutionsCareer path could include project management and business development, where more client and stakeholder interaction, developing scope, schedules and budgets, billings, etc. are needed.Qualifications:Must have a Missouri Professional Engineer (PE) license. An Illinois (SE) license is desirable.Must possess a Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree with structural emphasis. A Master’s degree with an emphasis in structural engineering is a plus, but not required.Must have at least 5 years of applicable full-time post-graduation experience. Temporary works or construction engineering experience preferredDemonstrated ability with CAD (MicroStation preferred), spreadsheets, and general structural analysis software.Motivation to tackle unique structural design challenges in addition to more commonplace projects.Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and possess the ability to direct the work of junior staff.Team-oriented and self-motivated.
