Experience reviewing, troubleshooting, and inheriting legacy Drupal implementations is highly desirable, as this is a core component of the project.\n\nWork Location: Remote with occasional onsite meetings in Washington, DC.\n\nThis role supports US Government contract hence US Citizenship is required.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance Drupal 10/11 applications supporting the OPM OIG public-facing website.\nReview and assess inherited legacy Drupal implementations, identify technical debt, and recommend modernization approaches.\nDevelop custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations using PHP, Symfony, Twig, and related technologies.\nManage Drupal configuration, Composer dependencies, upgrades, and security remediation.\nBuild and troubleshoot containerized web/PHP applications using Docker and Linux.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines, application logging, deployment activities, and production troubleshooting.\nImplement automated testing, secure coding practices, and performance improvements.\nDevelop accessible web experiences consistent with requirements.\nCollaborate with cloud, security, database, accessibility, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver prioritized enhancements.\nMaintain clear technical documentation, backlog items, and risk communications.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nAt least 5 years of recent professional Drupal experience, including substantial hands-on production experience with Drupal 10 and/or Drupal 11.\nDemonstrated experience with:\nCustom module and theme development.\nComposer-managed upgrades and dependency management.\nContainerized deployment and security remediation.\nStrong proficiency in PHP 8, Symfony, Twig, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL/MySQL, Composer, Drush, Drupal configuration management, and Git.\nHands-on experience with Docker, containerized web/PHP applications, Linux, CI/CD, application logging, and container troubleshooting.\nExperience with automated testing, secure coding, dependency management, performance tuning, and Section 508 accessible development.\nAbility to document work clearly, manage a prioritized backlog, communicate technical risk, and collaborate with cloud, security, database, accessibility, and business stakeholders.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAWS GovCloud (US) experience.\nExperience supporting federal government websites or other public-facing mission applications.\nExperience with cloud-first application architecture and AWS services.\nExperience modernizing legacy Drupal platforms and migrating or upgrading existing implementations.\nFamiliarity with federal accessibility, security, and website development requirements.\n\nSalary Range: $120,000 to $135,000\n\nAkira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
