Job Description Our organization is in search of an exceptional academic urologic oncologist to take on the role of Director for both the Bladder Cancer Program and the Robotic Cystectomy Program. The ideal candidate will be appointed at the Associate Professor or Professor level, contingent upon their qualifications and academic achievements.We are proud to host one of the premier bladder cancer programs in the United States, recognized as the leading program in New York City. Our comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach caters to patients with both non-muscle invasive and muscle invasive bladder cancer. The program incorporates cutting-edge diagnostics, clinical trials, precision oncology, and innovative minimally invasive surgical techniques, including a well-established robotic cystectomy platform. The new Director will be responsible for providing clinical, academic, and strategic leadership to enhance the program's influence on regional, national, and international levels.We welcome applications from outstanding candidates both domestically and internationally, particularly those with a proven history in bladder cancer treatment, robotic surgery, research, and program management.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram LeadershipOffer strategic guidance and operational oversight for the Bladder Cancer Program.Enhance and maintain our organization's status as a leader in bladder cancer treatment at both regional and national levels.Create clinical pathways and quality metrics to guarantee optimal patient outcomes.Robotic Cystectomy ProgramOversee and expand the robotic cystectomy program, focusing on advancements in minimally invasive and reconstructive techniques.Standardize protocols for robotic radical cystectomy and urinary diversion procedures.Guide and mentor faculty and fellows in advanced robotic oncology surgery.Multidisciplinary CollaborationCollaborate closely with teams in medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and translational research.Lead multidisciplinary bladder tumor boards and contribute to clinical program development.Research & Academic LeadershipInitiate and lead clinical trials focused on bladder cancer.Encourage translational research efforts in immunotherapy, biomarkers, and surgical advancements.Contribute to impactful publications, federal grants, and national research partnerships.Education & MentorshipProvide training and mentorship to residents, fellows, and junior faculty members.Develop educational programs in robotic bladder cancer surgery and oncologic management.Program Growth & ReputationIncrease patient access through regional and international referrals.Represent our organization at national and international academic conferences.Work with institutional leadership to enhance our global reputation in bladder cancer care.QualificationsMD or an equivalent medical degree.Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology (or an equivalent international certification).Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology is preferred.Proven expertise in robotic cystectomy and complex urinary reconstruction.Strong history of clinical excellence, research output, and academic leadership.Eligibility for a faculty appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level.Compensation ranges from $650,000 to $1,000,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits).Salary Disclosure Information:Our organization provides a salary range to comply with applicable laws regarding salary transparency.
