BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.\n\nConstruction Inspector (Construction Management)\nLocation: Waco/Temple/Belton, TX\nJob Responsibilities\n\nInspect roadway, bridge, retaining wall, water, wastewater, sanitary, storm sewer, detention facilities, and related transportation construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, contract documents, and safety standards\n\nObserve construction activities performed by contractors and sub contractors and document daily progress, quantities, testing procedures, and field issues\n\nMonitor project phasing, traffic control, and barricades in accordance with approved safety requirements and TMUTCD standards\n\nMaintain accurate daily job logs, reports, photographs, and project documentation\n\nIdentify, document, and report construction deficiencies and recommend corrective actions\n\nAssist in responses to RFI’s ensuring clarifications and issues are addressed in a timely manner.\n\nPrepare and assist with monthly and final pay apps/estimates, including quantity calculations\n\nArrange and conduct job progress meetings\n\nSchedule and conduct final inspections with representatives from municipalities and client agencies\n\nCommunicate directly with contractors, materials testing consultants, and client representatives\n\nVerify completed work aligns with contract documents, plans, specifications, and testing requirements\n\nSupport interpretation and resolution of plan and specification issues\n\nPerform additional duties as assigned, including leading inspection activities when applicable\n\nJob Requirements\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required; specialized vocational training is a plus\n\n5 years of general civil construction experience, including Public Works infrastructure and Transportation inspection experience.\n\nExperience with roadways, bridges, drainage, water, wastewater, sanitary and retaining wall inspection.\n\nClass C Water Operator License is preferred but not required to apply for position. Candidate will be expected to complete Class C Water Operator training and licensing within 2 years of employment.
