Accountable to the Engineering Manager for fulfilling his/her function.\nEssential Functions:\nWorks from sketches to create working drawings, layouts, details and bill of materials, utilizing orthographic, auxiliary projections, sections and solids.\nUnderstands dimensional fits, stack ups and geometric tolerancing (ANSI Y 14.5)\nHas basic working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components.\nIncorporates power transmission components in designs. Examples: gears, belts, chains, clutches, brakes and ball screws.\nHas knowledge of specifications for materials and heat treat metals.\nHas basic knowledge of manufacturing and inspection equipment and practices.\nPerforms technical calculations and analyses\nMeasures and makes sketches of components and assemblies at workstation and at shop assembly area.\nUses Auto Cad 2-D & Inventor 3-D computer drawing systems.\nUses ERP System for Item Master and BOM creation and use.\nHas the ability to work within schedules and meet critical deadlines.\nQuality of output will be responsibility of the individual and will be responsible to comply with safety rules and regulations at Bourn & Koch.\nThe individual should be available to complete projects that may be weeks or even months in duration.\nThe individual must be able to conduct themselves professionally with customers, vendors, and other Bourn & Koch employees.\nDepending on workloads, may be required to work in other areas of the Company.\nCompetencies\nCommunication Proficiency – proficient with verbal and written English communication\nStrong Organizational Skills\nMathematical Skills\nTechnical Capacity – ability to read and create blueprints\nThoroughness\nTime Management\nExcel, Word, & Windows\nMechanical Aptitude\nSupervisory Responsibility - This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment - Normal office environment, with exposure to shop conditions.\nPhysical Demands - The individual may be standing for periods of up to 4 hours without breaks and or moving/climbing around machines and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\nPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.\nTravel - Travel time dependent on unforeseen field issues.
