Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.\nFinancial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Provide analysis and commentary on financial performance and variances.\nBudgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process. Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic planning and decision-making.\nInternal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.\nCompliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including tax laws, GAAP, and industry-specific standards. Manage external audits and implement recommendations for improvement.\nCost Management: Analyze manufacturing, sales, and retail costs, monitor expense trends, and implement cost control measures to improve profitability.\nTeam Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team. Oversee training, performance evaluations, and professional development to foster a high-performing finance department.\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:\nFinancial Analysis: Provide actionable insights based on financial analysis. Support senior management with data-driven recommendations and strategic financial planning.\nProcess Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.\nProject support: Work with cross-functional teams to support business growth initiatives and multi-stakeholder projects\nQualifications Required:\nBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.\nMinimum of 7-10 years of accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior role. Experience in a manufacturing or retail environment is a plus.\nAdvanced proficiency in Netsuite, Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Pages, Docs), and Microsoft Excel\nStrong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis\nIn-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nProven leadership and team management abilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrategic thinker with a proactive approach.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nHighest level of integrity and professional ethics.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
