Primary Purpose: Provide entry level technology support to district staff (230 Days) Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Windows and iOS systems. Knowledge of various client imagining technologies for Windows-based computers. Knowledge of network printer configuration and support. Knowledge of computer software packages (i.e., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). Knowledge of communications and connections between computers, peripherals, and networks. Skilled in the use of common hand tools such as, pliers, screwdrivers, etc. Ability to maintain professional demeanor. Ability to work independently and establish priorities, meet deadlines, and handle pressure. Ability to read and interpret complex materials. Ability to replace computer and peripheral components. Ability to effectively communicate with and assist users. Ability to relate well with students, employees, and the public. Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Assists with providing technical support to users related to client hardware and software. Assists with installing District-standard hardware, software, peripheral, and non computer equipment upgrades. Assists with interfacing peripheral devices with computers. Assists with maintaining competency in current operating systems, desktop computer hardware, and peripherals used in the District. Assists with troubleshooting and repairing or replacing client hardware including, but not limited to: desktop/laptop Windows computers, and iPads. Assists with maintaining accurate reporting of work performed using enterprise level ticket tracking system. Assists with maintaining inventory control of parts required in repairs or replacement. Assists with performing field support at any District school or facility. Assists with identifying computer software, hardware, and communication problems. Assists with configuring hardware and software to match environment. Conforms to safety standards, as prescribed.
