{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c7af8c8baa924f4ece9fedf0","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c7af8c8baa924f4ece9fedf0","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c7af8c8baa924f4ece9fedf0","title":"CNC Machine Setup / Operator","description":"SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSet up and operate various CNC machining and turning centers to produce piece parts to print specifications.\n\nESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSet-up and operate various CNC machining and turning centers, perform tool offsets, edit program, and make adjustments necessary for piece parts to conform to print tolerance and select proper material as indicated on shop order.\nSet-up various drill and tapping machines within the work cell as needed.\nCheck all parts to print dimensions using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicator, comparator, and similar inspection tools.\nPerform first piece part inspection and in-process inspections as necessary to ensure all parts meet print tolerance.\nMaintain SPC Data for each piece part.\nMove parts to next area of operation as necessary according to part routing.\nAssist less experienced operators with set-ups as needed and as instructed.\nEnsure good quality and a clean and safe work area at all times.\nConduct daily maintenance on equipment.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nSECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nOperate various milling and/or turret lathe machines to produce piece parts according to print specifications.\nSet-up various drilling and tapping fixtures for other machine operators.\nAssist with the upkeep of the area.\nDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:\nLevel of knowledge usually associated with a High/Vocational school diploma.\nKnowledge of basic shop math, blueprint reading and inspection equipment.\nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience utilizing various CNC machines, Mori Seki, Bridgeport, Nichols Horizontal millers and/or lathe machines.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nRequired to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nCombination of Manufacturing and Office environment.\nRegular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and odors.\nElectroswitch offers a competitive benefits package that includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid sick and vacation time, health, dental and vision insurance, company paid life insurance, 401k retirement plan with a company match.\nElectroswitch is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and provides Equal employment opportunities for all current and prospective employees.
