This role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on extrusion and ancillary equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and minimize unplanned downtime. The Maintenance Technician works closely with production and engineering teams to support overall plant efficiency and equipment reliability.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPreventive Maintenance:\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on aluminum extrusion presses and supporting equipment.\nInspect machinery and plant systems to identify wear, damage, or potential failure points.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the CMMS system.\nAssist in optimizing machine performance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.\nTroubleshooting & Repairs:\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems related to aluminum extrusion equipment, including extrusion presses, cooling tables, pullers, stretchers, and saws.\nTroubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment to identify faults, interpret alarms, and assist with corrective actions.\nPerform basic PLC diagnostics such as input/output verification, fault code analysis, and component replacement under established procedures.\nRespond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely, effective repairs to support production schedules.\nCollaborate with production and engineering teams to diagnose recurring issues and implement corrective actions.\nSafety & Compliance:\nPerform all maintenance activities in compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.\nFollow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work procedures at all times.\nReport safety hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly and participate in corrective actions.\nContinuous Improvement:\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S activities.\nIdentify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.\nSupport equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations as needed.\nQualifications:\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred.\nExperience:\n3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aluminum extrusion or heavy industrial manufacturing.\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.\nAbility to troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems;
