Job Description Hairstylist Job Qualifications and skills:- Knows haircutting, hairstyling, and hair coloring best practices.- Experience using different types of scissors, trimmers and other tools to create hairstyles.- Communicates clearly and has a strong active listening skills.- Builds long-term relationships with clients and has excellent social skills.- Collaborates with other hair stylists and is a team-player.- Works confidently in a fast-paced salon, has good time- management skills, is punctual, and is detail oriented.- An understanding of the different types of hairstyles a person can request and how to achieve those looks.- A willingness to learn about new styles and techniques. Hairstylist Job Responsibilities:- Help clients decide their ideal haircut and hairstyle.- Completes haircutting techniques, including trims, layers, and texturizing.- Perform haircoloring methods, such as highlights.- Styles hair, including blowouts, curls, and updos.- Develops ongoing relationships with clients.- Keeps a clean station and sanitizes all tools.- Follows all salon policies and procedures.
