This role includes leading subcontractor and vendor coordination, tracking and controlling project budgets, executing contracts, and preparing regional financial reports. The role ensures adherence to safety and compliance standards while managing scope, schedule, and field performance. They are responsible for analyzing reports, recommending changes, and resolving issues that affect project delivery.\n\nThis position will report to our Roanoke, VA office.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nProject Planning and Coordination\n\nCreate project plans, schedules, purchase orders and sub-contracts.\nCoordinate subcontractor and vendor resources.\nWork with Project Managers and sub-contractors to establish contracts and coordinate resources and billing.\nEnsure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all projects by team members and subcontractors.\nCoordinate with field leadership, Estimating, Safety, and other departments to ensure the successful completion of projects.\n\nBudgeting and Cost Control\n\nDevelop project forecasting for regional construction projects, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.\nEstablish project budgets, invoicing, revenue and cost accrual, and creation of project timesheets.\nTrack project expenditures and project changes.\nTrack, verify, approve, and code subcontractor and vendor invoicing.\nWork with Accounts Payable and Receivables on monthly revenue and cost accruals.\nManage change order pricing and submission.\nMonitor and control indirect costs.\n\nDocumentation and Reporting\n\nPrepare reports, including cost reports and regional financial reports.\nReview and approve internal and external reports including project budgeting, project cash flow forecast, and project status reports.\nAnalyze reports to identify potential and actual risks and make recommendations and decisions.\nOversee and communicate risk registers.\n\nProject Execution and Management\n\nManage all aspects of project execution (scope, schedule, safety, subcontracts).\nEnsure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all projects by team members and subcontractors.\nMonitor project progress, identify issues and delays, and implement actions.\nMeet with Field Leadership to develop work plans and review performance.\nCreate and archive projects in YARDZ – coordinate with Fleet Managers to maintain accuracy.\nCloseout completed projects (final invoicing, lessons learned, close-out subcontracts/PO’s).\n\nCustomer Relationship Management\n\nAct as a primary point of contact for the customer.\nCollaborate with customers to identify opportunities for additional services.\nReview contracts and make recommendations to Executive Management.\n\nTeam Leadership and Development\n\nPerform site visits to meet and collaborate with crews and field leadership.\nManage, develop, and mentor Project Coordinators and Project Manager Is promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.\n2+ Years of project management experience, preferably in the electrical construction field ( in addition to the educational equivalency).\nStrong experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.\nOrganized with a strong attention to detail.\nStrong ability to identify and solve issues.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal and customer service skills.\nSelf-motivated.\nStrong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with good time management.\nAbility to build and foster relationships with team members.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality.\nAbility to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.\nWhat You'll Get\n\nDIRECT REPORTS: None\n\nLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: None\n\nSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: None\n\nTRAVEL REQUIRED: Moderate\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\n\nNOTE: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
