Airy)\nJob Title: College Student Coding Instructor Department: STEM Programs\nReports to: Executive Director Effective Date: 08/29/2024\nJob Summary:\nThe College Student Coding Instructor will provide computer programming “Coding” instruction to Kindergarten to 12th grade students in-person setting. Proficient in (1) or more current programming languages or platforms including: SCRATCH, Python, Java, Java Script, ROBLOX, Grasshopper, Fortinite, or Lego First League.\nCompensation: Part Time Seasonal / $15 - $18 per hour / 4 to 12 Hours per week\nDuties/Responsibilities:\n● Use provided curriculum to deliver lesson plans teaching “computer programming”, explaining “computer syntax” and demonstrating examples for greatest comprehension.\n● Lead programming activities, demonstrating various techniques and encouraging children to come up with ideas\n● Communicating with students and/or parents, providing updates where required and answering questions about the class.\n● Providing guidance, motivation and support to all class visitors\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\n■ Friendly, positive attitude and must like children.■ Be coachable and willing to learn.■ Good verbal and written communication skills.■ Good organizational skills and attention to detail.\nTC2 College Student Coding Instructor 2 of 2\n■ Good time management skills to manage successful completion of lesson plans during allotted class time..\n■ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.■ Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.■ Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.■ Proficient with Google Workspace and Cloud software programming platforms\nincluding SCRATCH, Python, Java, Java Script, Robolox, Grasshopper, Fortinite, or Lego First League.\nEducation and Experience:\nCurrent (2) year or (4) year college student in a technology related majors.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to instruct students in 1 to 2 hour periods of while sitting at a desk or standing and working on a computer.
