As the Property Claims Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of claims professionals handling property-related claims, including commercial property losses and other first-party property exposures. This role ensures claims are handled in accordance with company policies, client service standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency and high-quality claim outcomes. In addition, you will provide leadership, technical guidance, and performance oversight for property claims adjusters while supporting effective claim resolution, cost management, and strong client relationships.\n\n*Candidate must be located in the Northeast and carry a NY adjusters license*\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTeam Leadership & Development\nSupervise and support a team of property claims adjusters across multiple levels of claim complexity.\nProvide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to support adjuster development and performance.\nConduct performance evaluations, training sessions, and ongoing feedback discussions.\nAssist with hiring, onboarding, and workload distribution across the claims team.\nClaims Oversight\nMonitor claims handling activities to ensure compliance with company guidelines and client expectations.\nReview high-exposure or complex property claims and provide guidance on claim strategy and resolution.\nApprove claim settlements within assigned authority limits.\nEnsure appropriate reserve setting, claim documentation, and investigation practices.\nOperational Performance\nMonitor operational performance metrics including claim cycle time, quality assurance results, and productivity measures.\nIdentify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices across the claims team.\nSupport leadership with reporting and performance insights related to property claims operations.\nClient & Stakeholder Collaboration\nServe as a point of contact for clients regarding claim performance, service delivery, and operational matters.\nParticipate in client meetings and provide updates on claim trends, outcomes, and performance metrics.\nCoordinate with vendors, contractors, engineers, and other specialists involved in property claim investigations and repairs.\nCompliance & Quality Assurance\nEnsure claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and client service agreements.\nSupport internal audits, quality assurance reviews, and operational compliance initiatives.\nThis is a full-time, remote role.\n\nSkills, knowledge & expertise\n\n5+ years of property claims handling experience\nAdjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction\nStrong knowledge of property claims investigation, evaluation, and settlement practices\nExperience handling complex or high-value property claims preferred\nExcellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills\nExperience with Xactimate preferred\nPrior supervisory or leadership experience preferred\nExperience handling commercial or large-loss property claims preferred\nFamiliarity with property estimating tools and vendor repair networks preferred\nIndustry designations such as AIC, CPCU, or equivalent preferred\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity & Legal Notices\n\nBenefits\nAt Davies North America, we are dedicated to supporting the well‑being and future of our qualifying employees.
