{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c7761d7ecf6df89835dd3f33","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c7761d7ecf6df89835dd3f33","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c7761d7ecf6df89835dd3f33","title":"Server - Sofia Restaurant","description":"What you'll do:\r\nServe guests in a professional manner as per training guidelines.\r\nApply knowledge of the full menu and other restaurant information such as restaurant hours, table numbers, and payment options.\r\nTake food and drink orders from customers with a positive attitude.\r\nAccurately enter orders into the POS for transmittal to kitchen staff.\r\nUse suggestive upselling techniques to offer food specials, menu items, daily desserts, and other promotions.\r\nEnsure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.\r\nReceive customer payments, complete guest check transactions, and tender proper change to customers.\r\nTurn in all cash and change transactions at the end of each shift.\r\nCross-serve and/or assist team members on an as-needed basis.\r\nComplete all assigned opening/closing side work to prepare the dining room, bar, kitchen, and service stations for efficient operation during meal periods.\r\nRe-stock items in the dining room and bar as needed and alert kitchen staff and manager of stock shortages.\r\nCommunicate health and/or safety concerns or violations immediately to management.\r\nEmployees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.\r\nPerform additional job duties requested by management.\r\nWhat we're looking for:\r\nA passion for quality and service.\r\nExtreme proficiency in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.\r\nAbility to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.\r\nAbility to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.\r\nFollow all company policies and procedures, including proper time-keeping and emergency and safety procedures.\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.\r\nQualifications\r\nHigh school or equivalent education required.\r\nExperience in F&B setting with high volume, preferably in upscale hotel/bar/restaurant.\r\nAbility to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates or permits; must be \"SERV Safe Certified\" by the State of Florida.\r\nOther Requirements\r\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
