The successful candidate will provide on-site, on the floor, technical and system administration support through troubleshooting and implementing appropriate solutions to software/hardware anomalies as they occur. The SA will automate Software deployments, package Software, troubleshoot VDI endpoints, virtual machines and Geospatial/corporate software issues as well as make corrective recommendations as necessary. Likewise, the candidate should be able to quickly respond to application/hardware related issues, resolve on the spot problems (where possible), replicate the issue for internal analysis/diagnosis, and assist in the preparation of technical documentation that can accurately depict the problem and/or solution for feedback to the team.\n\nWhat you get to do every day:\n\nManage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems\nMaintain the integrity and security of servers and systems\nSet up administrator and service accounts\nMaintain system documentation\nInteract with users and evaluate vendor products\nMake recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery\nDevelop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources\nMay program in an administrative language\nDevelop and implement testing strategies and document results\nProvide advice and training to end-users\nProvide guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members\nMaintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned\nParticipate in special projects as required.\n\nWhat you need:\n\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience\n5-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.\nProvides support for maintenance and change requests of all user-facing devices and systems\nAttention to detail, strong organizational skills\nStrong writing skills (document creation and note taking)\nStrong time management skills\nAbility to work within a team for projects and/or tasks\nMulti-mission environment experience\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nAbility to troubleshoot and document various problems\nExcellent customer service skills\n\nDesired Skills:\n\nknowledge or understanding of the following methodologies:\nSoftware package/binary deployment (Tanium, Numecent, XenApp, SCCM/MECM)\nService+ experience\nThin Client operating systems and virtual hosted desktop OS (AVD/ThinPro/Citrix)\nClient operating systems (Windows 11)\nVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (Azure Virtual Desktop, ESX/vSphere4, XenDesktop)\nAdvanced Scripting in Python / PowerShell\nLog Analysis experience for troubleshooting\n\nAdditional Information\n\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nCompensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position.
