You will assist the Store Manager in the operation and management of a Goodwill retail store. Goodwill of the Great Plains strives to make employee compensation performance-based, competitive to organizations with similar missions, and commensurate for the individual’s level of responsibility.\nResponsibilities:\nAssume full store responsibility in store manager’s absence; including but not limited to directing the activities of all personnel, ensure that sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately and ensure that donated goods are processed appropriately.\nMaintain all store records in absence of store manager\nEnsure that retail store is adequately stocked at all times and is displayed in a professional manner\nSet, display, and evaluate a high level of Customer Service\nInspect produced materials for quality and accurate pricing\nProvide training and evaluation of new retail employees\nProvide support for store manager during store meetings, disciplinary actions, etc.\nAssist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner\nAid cashiers in correcting errors\nAccept or refuse donated merchandise per store guidelines\nSort, hand, and price donated merchandise for sale in store\nResponsible for opening/closing store; handling cash and electronic transactions; opening and closing cash registers; ensure the security of all monies and that all deposits are made in a timely manner.\nQualifications:\nHigh school graduate/GED preferred but not required.\nAt least two years of prior retail sales experience, with previous managerial experience preferred.\nMust have reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance\nWhile the benefits are great, Goodwill’s mission is really at the heart of all we do.
