This role is vital in supporting healthcare providers by delivering compassionate patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations.Job SummaryAs an integral member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your certification, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate efficient patient flow. Your role includes preparing patients for exams, administering immunizations under supervision, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating referrals.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders promptly and accurately.Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained.Communicate test results to patients as directed by providers.Document patient complaints, vital signs, and maintain up-to-date health information.Administer immunizations within scope and comply with regulatory requirements.Maintain exam rooms, manage supplies, and uphold infection control standards.Collaborate with referral coordinators to ensure timely and accurate processing of consults and diagnostics.Support a clean and safe clinical environment in partnership with environmental services.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment.Commitment to teamwork and fostering a positive work environment.Work EnvironmentThis part-time position involves 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek.
