For more information visit and follow us on LinkedInThe RoleThe HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This role requires strong technical expertise, a safety-first mindset, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including:Rooftop units (RTUs)Split systemsHeat pumpsPackage unitsExhaust and ventilation systemsPerform preventative maintenance to improve system reliability and energy efficiencyInstall new HVAC equipment, perform system start-ups, and ensure proper operationTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issuesRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsAccurately complete service reports, work orders, and documentationCommunicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repairs, and recommendationsMaintain service vehicles, tools, parts inventory, and job site cleanlinessFollow all company, customer, and regulatory safety standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Coordinate with dispatch, service managers, and parts departments as neededParticipate in on-call rotation and emergency service calls as requiredRequired Qualifications4+ years of experience servicing commercial HVAC systems (or equivalent technical experience)Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsEPA Universal Certification (required)Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong customer service and communication skillsMust have own basic toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with commercial rooftop units and xaygatp building automation systems (BAS)Manufacturer certifications (Trane, Carrier, Lennox, York, etc.)Experience in retail, convenience store, restaurant, or industrial environmentsKnowledge of controls, VFDs, and energy management systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 75 lbsAbility to climb ladders, work at heights, and access rooftopsAbility to kneel, bend, and work in confined spacesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsWork ScheduleFull-time positionOvertime and on-call availability requiredMust be willing to travelWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceCompany vehicle, and phoneMedical, dental, life, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401 (k) matchOngoing training, certifications, and career advancement opportunities
