Lead Full‐Stack Engineer (Front‐End Focus)Location: Hybrid Midtown ManhattanLevel: Lead / Senior Individual ContributorA technology consultancy supporting major financial institutions is seeking a Lead Full‐Stack Engineer with a strong front‐end orientation. You'll guide technical direction, partner directly with stakeholders, and build polished, high‐performance web applications used in complex financial environments. This is a senior IC role — no direct people management, but plenty of technical leadership and influence.What You'll DoLead the front‐end architecture and development of a modern web application used for data‐intensive financial workflows.Define technical approaches, document system design, and shape implementation plans across the full stack.Contribute hands‐on to both UI engineering and backend services (using either C# or Python).Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering partners to translate requirements into scalable, production‐ready solutions.Serve as a trusted technical partner to client teams, helping them understand tradeoffs, propose solutions, and drive delivery.Promote engineering best practices across cloud, testing, DevOps, and deployment pipelines.What You Bring5+ years building modern front‐end applications with React and contemporary state management patterns.10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend development in C# or Python.Strong experience with cloud‐native architecture (AWS preferred), containerization, and infrastructure‐as‐code.Deep understanding of SQL, relational data modeling, and performance considerations at scale.Experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated organizations.Strong interest in financial markets, trading systems, or data‐driven products.Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
