Tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting with the repair of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment, and painting as needed to maintain a safe working environment.\nAssist in performing scheduled maintenance on production equipment, forklifts, company vehicles, and other various tasks that ensure the safety of Taurus personnel.\nMaintain a clean and safe work area; promote safe work practices; and always observe safety procedures as outlined in Taurus safety policies, including local, state, and OSHA regulations.\nReports all accidents and/or potential hazards to the Safety Officer, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance manager immediately, or as reasonably possible\nOperate a forklift, when needed, in completing maintenance tasks.\nLogistics duties:\n\nPerform weekly vehicle inspection. Notify maintenance of any issues affecting the safe operation of company vehicles.\nMaintain a clean and fueled company vehicle\nMake necessary deliveries to customers and vendors as directed by the logistics manager.\n\nSupervision Responsibilities:\nNone\n\nOrganizational Responsibilities:\n\nReceives directions from the Facility Maintenance Manager or Logistics manager.\nInteract professionally with other team members from various departments\n\nQualification Requirements:\nCertain qualifications must be met for the successful performance of the essential functions of this position. The requirements listed below outline the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the satisfactory performance of this position. Accommodation will be made to aid qualified individuals with disabilities to successfully fulfil the essential requirements.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMaintenance assistant:\n\nProficient in reading, writing in English, and general math\nMechanical aptitude\nWork safely with power tools and hand tools\nClimb up and down a ladder\nLift 50 lbs\nLogistic driver:\n\nMinimum 25-year age requirement\n5-year clean driving history\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions\nAbility to operate company vehicles safely\nOperate company vehicles following local and state driving laws.\nNo regular travel is expected outside of a 50-mile radius.\n\nComputer Skills:\nBasic skills required.\n\nWork Environment:\nFrequent exposure to moving mechanical parts\nModerate to loud noise level\nWarehouse environment\nOccasionally exposure to high heat\nWork in inclement weather\nFrequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne (proper PPE and Chemical SDSs)\nMay require occasional daily overtime to include weekends.\n\nTaurus is an equal opportunity employer.
