The business is currently undergoing a period of significant transformation and seeking a high-impact Group Operations Director to drive improvements across various sites.The position will take ownership of a network of manufacturing sites, leading Factory Managers across multiple locations, while acting as a key driver of operational performance, integration and continuous improvement across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and manage a global team of Factory Managers across multiple manufacturing sites
Drive operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and people
Translate business strategy into clear operational priorities and execution plans
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, embedding Lean and standardised operating practices
Oversee productivity, cost reduction, and working capital optimisation across the network
Partner closely with finance to monitor and improve operational and financial performance
Deliver operational synergies through footprint optimisation and efficiency improvements
Lead and develop site leadership teams, building capability and accountability
Ensure consistent operational standards, governance and performance management across all sitesExperience Required:
Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role, such as Group Operations Director, Global Operations Director, Senior Operations Director or related
Strong background in manufacturing and industrial environments
Experience managing multi-site and international operations within a complex organisation
Proven leadership capability with experience in developing and improving teams
Strong business acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Hands-on, analytical and capable of balancing strategic and operational priorities
Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks
Strong understanding of operational KPIs, including safety, quality, delivery and cost
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or related field (MBA highly desirable)
