Cause Prioritization Researcher
To support a growing research initiative, the part-time Cause Prioritization Researcher will conduct independent research on funding dynamics in the effective altruism space, refine quantitative models for cross-cause giving, and communicate findings to grantmakers and philanthropists in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
Conduct independent research on funding questions and produce comprehensive reports
Critically assess and improve the cross-cause prioritization model
Design and execute research projects to narrow uncertainties and manage teams of contractors
Required qualifications
Substantial background in philosophy and quantitative reasoning
Experience in research methodology with a focus on rigorous analysis
Familiarity with the cause prioritization landscape and effective altruism ecosystem
Quantitative modeling experience, particularly in decision-making frameworks
Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
