Job DetailsDescriptionAge Requirement: 18+CompensationPay: $25.00/hrAbout UsThe Crowd Management team at Hayden Homes Amphitheater supports safe, secure, and well-run events by maintaining venue safety before, during, and after concerts. Overnight Crowd Management plays a critical role in protecting touring personnel, production equipment, and venue infrastructure during non-public hours.While overnight work is often quiet and static, it requires consistency, attention to detail, and readiness to respond if conditions change. Team members are expected to approach their work with care, professionalism, and respect for everyone on site.Job OverviewAs an Overnight Crowd Management Team Member, you will monitor and secure designated areas of the venue during overnight hours. Assignments may include static posts at production gates, stage areas, dressing rooms, backstage corridors, or venue perimeter and restricted-access points.This role includes both independent and team-based work. Overnight staff must be comfortable working alone for extended periods while maintaining communication with other overnight staff, venue operations, touring personnel, and security leadership.In addition to security monitoring, this role may support post-show venue reset tasks, including equipment breakdown, barricade removal, and securing the venue for overnight conditions.Key Responsibilities are to monitor and secure designated areas of the venue and surrounding properties during overnight hours, including:Production gateStageDressing rooms / BOHVenue Perimeter / GatesArt StationGravel Lot / Storage ContainersTour Buses/Trucks/Merch/PropertyAdditional Responsibilities IncludeBreaking down and storing equipment after a concert or rehearsal, including assisting with post-event egress.Removing road barricades and ensuring all equipment is property stored and secured for overnight.Core DutiesProtect tour and venue assets, including production equipment, instruments, vehicles, and merchandise.Maintain controlled access to all venue access points and property.Conduct regular security checks of the venue property and perimeter property. Report any irregularities, safety concerns, suspicious or unauthorized activity.Communicate clearly with the overnight employees, venue operations, tour personnel, and management as needed.Work independently for extended periods while also coordinating with teammates during shift changes or incident responses.Provide a professional presence that reinforces safety and compliance with venue policies.Document incidents as directed and provide pass-down to shift relief.Required Qualifications18+ years of age.Ability to pass a background check.Ability to follow direction.Basic computer skills for schedule management.High School Diploma/GED.Preferred And/or Desired QualificationsDPSST Private Security CertificationDPSST Event & Entertainment CertificationFirst Aid / CPR / AED CertificationExperience in:Security / Crowd ManagementEvents/Festivals/ConcertsMilitary/Law EnforcementEMS/Paramedic/Firefighter911 DispatchMedicalPhysical RequirementsStanding, sitting or walking for extended periods of time (3-12 hours).Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Climbing over barricades, using stairs, and navigating uneven ground.Quick, agile movement during emergencies.Lifting and moving bike racks, barricades, and other equipment.Assisting with moving, lifting or supporting patrons as needed.Potentially restraining individuals when safety protocols require intervention.Risks Associated with Crowd ManagementPhysical AltercationsExposure to intoxicated or aggressive individualsSlip, trip, and fall hazards in dark, uneven, or crowded spaces.extreme or rapidly changing weather conditions.Low visibility.Exposure to intoxicants or drugs in audience environments.Responding to medical emergencies.Participating in evacuations or emergency crowd movements.Potential exposure to bodily fluids.Heavy lifting of bike racks, stage barricades, and event equipment.Fatigue due to late-night or extended shifts.Risk of miscommunication during urger or high priority incidents.Crowd Management roles require physical capability, stamina, and mobility to respond effectively to guest needs, emergencies and operational tasks.SchedulePotential Shift Hours (may vary depending on tour needs and venue operation needs):10pm-7am8pm-7am8pm-5am7pm-7amWhat To Expect Working HereIt is essential that all employees at Hayden Homes Amphitheater understand and agree to the environment in which we work. We are an outdoor, seasonal concert venue, and our team regularly works in a wide range of conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, smoke, snow, wind, full sun, nighttime darkness, and the presence of wildlife such as insects and other animals. These elements are a normal part of our workplace. We provide a uniform, but employees are responsible for dressing appropriately for comfort and safety in all conditions.While our workplace happens to host concerts, this role is a job first, and employees are expected to remain focused on their responsibilities and may have little opportunity to experience performances. If you strongly prefer indoor work environments or are primarily seeking access to shows, this role is not the right fit.Employment with Hayden Homes Amphitheater is seasonal and concludes at the end of each concert season.
