Our platform enables our customers to turn stored value and loyalty programs into a powerful growth engine that increases customer retention, drives repeat purchases, and boosts margins, all without the cost and complexity of building it in-house.\r\nWe're seeking a Backend Engineer who wants end-to-end ownership of core backend systems and the chance to have an outsized impact on a product used by fast-growing consumer brands. You'll make meaningful architectural decisions and work closely with leadership to influence both product and technical strategy. Does this sound like you? Let's chat!\r\nWhat You Will Be DoingScale our core ledger that tracks both digital and physical money movement.\r\nScale our card network integrations that power in-store payments.\r\nBuild and maintain complex reconciliation infrastructure to make sure we never lose a cent across our partner bank, payment processors, merchants, and card networks.\r\nBuild and scale our financial reporting & accounting integrations that allow our merchants to close their books seamlessly.\r\nDesign and maintain our payment APIs and SDKs that make for frictionless integration.\r\nDesign and build features that prime us for enterprise-readiness, including SSO and RBAC.\r\nDesign and ship products that help merchants drive end-user adoption and engagement, creating a flywheel of user spend (i.e. our incentives engine and analytics).\r\nScale up our cloud infrastructure as we move towards fully containerized, blue-green deployment.\r\nOwn end-to-end design, implementation, and release of features.\r\nDesign and implement engineering processes.\r\nPrototype new ideas and iterate towards the ideal user experience.\r\nContribute to our engineering infrastructure.\r\nHelp grow our engineering team\r\nAbout YouYou have 6+ years of experience independently owning and driving scalable, impactful projects end to end.\r\nBased in the SF Bay Area (or willing to relocate!) and excited about working closely in-person with a tight-knit team.\r\nInnately curious and brave enough to consider new payment paradigms or verticals for applications, can navigate low information environments.\r\nExecution oriented, excited by the high-ownership nature of joining a team at this stage.\r\nInterested in building a top class engineering culture from the ground up.\r\nAppreciates and looks for elegant solutions but understands trade-offs of robust designs/engineering vs. moving fast.\r\nExperience building fast, reliable cloud applications.\r\nNice To HavesOperated at a growth stage startup before.\r\nFamiliarity with Golang web frameworks, AWS, Postgres.\r\nExperience in building one of these areas: core ledgers, money movement platforms/services, and merchant facing APIs for in-app/online POS.\r\nBonus points if you have experience in mentoring other team members, and have previously worked closely with designers.\r\nOur CultureWe're a small team with a big mission.
