Dev/Research Engineer 3 (Data Acquisition Hardware)Lafayette, IN (Onsite)$44-48/hr W2 + medical, dental, vision, 401k24-month contractWe are hiring a hands-on Dev/Research Engineer to support the build and deployment of data acquisition hardware systems used in field testing environments. This is a lab-based role focused on assembling, configuring, and maintaining hardware kits that collect critical system data across engineering programs.What You Will DoAssemble and configure data acquisition hardware kits for field useWire, solder, troubleshoot, clean, and refurbish returned unitsTranslate electrical schematics into wiring harnesses and complete buildsBuild and validate software/configuration files for data loggersMaintain lab inventory of new and returned kits with detailed documentationPrepare systems for redeployment and support global shipmentsWhat You NeedBachelor's degree in Engineering5+ years of hands-on experience (internships count if heavily electrical-focused)Strong electrical/electronics experience (wiring, soldering, multimeters, hand tools)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematicsExperience with CAN communication (J1939, CCP, or serial bus)Nice to HaveExperience in instrumentation labs or data acquisition environmentsExposure to deployed hardware or field systemsEngine-related Experience (not Required)What is Important for SuccessStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Self-starter who can work independently after ramp-upGood time management and organizationComfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on lab environment#INDOEM
