We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to heal and thrive.Role DescriptionMountain View Therapy Group is seeking a Children’s Mental Health Therapist for a W2, part-time, on-site position located in Harpers Ferry, WV. The primary responsibility of this role is providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families in a compassionate and supportive clinical environment.This position will begin part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time caseload of approximately 20–25 clients per week, including paid administrative time.Additional responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, maintaining timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with caregivers, schools, medical providers, and community supports when appropriate. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting children and families while fostering a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship.Qualifications* Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.* Active licensure or provisional licensure through the state of West Virginia (LCSW, LICSW, LPC, ALPS, LMFT, or equivalent) is required.* Candidates must reside in either West Virginia or Virginia.* Experience providing psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, and families.* Skills in treatment planning and developing individualized interventions tailored to children’s emotional and developmental needs.* Knowledge of evidence-based approaches for children and teens, including play therapy, CBT, trauma-informed care, or related modalities.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with children, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.* Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.* Experience with case management and care coordination is preferred.Preferred Qualities* Passion for working with children and families.* Experience supporting anxiety, behavioral concerns, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation, or family transitions.* Ability to create a playful, engaging, and emotionally safe therapeutic space for children.
