Operator","description":"Arepet Industries, LLC has immediate openings for Day shift Scale Operators at our Von Ormy plant.\nPosition Summary\nThe scale operator will obtain accurate weights of incoming and outbound trucks and verify the proper loading of outbound trucks against purchase orders.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCoordinate drivers and productions team in the proper loading and unloading of trucks.\nVerify weight (gross, tare, net), truck numbers, truck company data and invoices billed for accuracy.\nCoordinate truck drivers to scales to obtain weights (gross, tare, net).\nVerify with drivers the correct Purchase Order (PO) number for correct loading of sand type.\nVerify weight (gross, tare, net), truck numbers, truck company data and invoices billed for accuracy.\nAttach tickets printed from scales to trucking company invoices of weights billed to AREPET for AREPET records and driver/truck company records.\nAssist the Foreman in updating the actual performance of Shift Operating Plans.\nAnswer emails and phone calls directing inquiries to proper contacts.\nMaintain, clean, organize, office area and office equipment.\nEscalate productions and operations issues to the Production & Scale Controller, Foreman, and/or other Plant Management.\nAttend safety meetings and meetings of priority as required by Production & Scale Controller, Safety Manager, and Plant Manager.\nExecute the direction and priorities set by the Production & Scale Controller, Safety Manager and Plant Manager.\nMay perform additional assignments as necessary.\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities\nMust be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed\nMust be able to perform detailed, frequent transactions\nMust be able to used office equipment such as PC, copier and scanner\nMust be able to read and write in English\nMust be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment\nMust be able to follow instructions as well as make some independent decisions\nMust be able to perform duties in a safe and environmentally responsible manner\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED
