Your presence provides reassurance, companionship, and comfort to patients and loved ones every day.What you will do as a Hospice Certified Nurse Aide:Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily livingOffer emotional support and companionship to patients and familiesAssist with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, feeding, and mobilityMonitor patient comfort and report changes in condition to the primary nurseSupport safe patient transfers and mobility assistanceAssist with changing linens, maintaining patient living spaces, and organizing suppliesSet up and maintain medical equipment including hospital beds and wheelchairsDocument patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical recordCollaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plansParticipate in weekend and holiday on-call rotations as neededWhat We Are Looking ForGraduate of an accredited Nurse Aide program with current Virginia CNA licensureMinimum of 1 year of experience preferred (home health, hospice, or long-term care experience preferred)Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsCompassionate, patient-centered, and emotionally resilientComfort working independently in home and facility settingsExperience with electronic medical records preferredValid Virginia driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving recordSchedule & CompensationSchedule: Full-time opportunities available with rotating weekend and holiday on-call responsibilitiesLocation: Serving patients throughout the Good Samaritan Hospice service area including homes, facilities, and hospitalsBenefits: 21 days PTO in your first year, mileage reimbursement at $.65/mile, company-paid life and long-term disability insurance, medical coverage through an ICHRA model with multiple plan options, and 401(k) with company match (100% on first 3%, 50% on next 1%)Hourly Rate: Starting at $18/hourFind your purpose hereIf you are compassionate, dependable, and looking for work that truly matters, we would love to hear from you.
