You’ll be given the opportunity to develop next generation products and technologies for the HVAC industry.\nAs an individual contributor in the E-Cooling business unit, and reporting to the Principal System Engineer, the Senior System Engineer drives the following activities:\nOwn the requirements and specifications of the HVAC products like the centrifugal refrigerant compressor including the variable frequency drive.\nInterface with customers and suppliers for system needs and design specifications.\nGuide system design considering tradeoffs between key product values and cost.\nDrive platform strategies by identifying common requirements across multiple applications.\nDrive certification activities for HVAC products.\nPerform risk analysis for the refrigerant system, and refrigerant compressor systems.\nSupport the development of System Architecture for our electrical products.\nSupport the analysis of System working with the Quality, Functional Safety, and Design teams (FMEAs, FTAs, etc.)\nSupport the development of the system integration and validation plans.\nAuthor User Guides for our products to provide to internal and external customers.\nManage technical issues and coordinate through definition of problem statement, root cause analysis, and solution implementation with customer and all cross functional teams.\nParticipate in supplier panel selection, supplier development, and collaborate on supplier strategies.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Air conditioning and refrigeration systems\n5+ years of experience in HVAC industry with focus on refrigerant compressors.\nProduct launch and certification experience (UL and CE)\nDeep understanding of key product standards like EN 378, UL 60335-2-34, UL 60335-2-40, UL 61800-5-1 and UL 61800-5-2.\nPrior experience with requirements management.\nAbility to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions with electrical/mechanical and systems engineering.\nUnderstanding of project management.\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\n\nAdditional Desired Qualifications:\nAbility to work in a global, virtual team environment.\nExperience with refrigerant compressor testing and validation.\nWillingness to travel domestically and internationally.\nStrong fundamentals in electrical engineering.\nSimulation experience of refrigerant systems.\nPay Range\nThe salary range for this role is between $120,400 and $150,000.\nNote that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, education, training, and/or experience.\nIn addition to the annual base salary this role offers the below:\nBenefits: We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance.
