Fractional Senior Software Engineer

Company Fraction (https://hirefraction.com) seeks to address the developer shortage by pairing interested developers with long-term part-time positions that they can pursue in addition to their day jobs. We are seeking a highly skilled Fractional Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in full stack development to work with our clients. This is a fractional position that can be done in conjunction with any existing job (keep your day job!). ***MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK FOR ANY US EMPLOYER*** The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive our technology vision and execution and do some hands-on coding. Position (What You'll Be Doing) Develop integrations with software partners, making use of modern API + security practices Build new product features under the guidance of product management Help build and optimize data pipelines to support machine learning Troubleshoot product issues and be prepared to help rapidly fix software defects Senior-level applicants should demonstrate application architecture knowledge and practical experience in incrementally improving application design over time Requirements (What You Bring to the Table) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant work experience Experience in Full Stack Python development, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role. Tech stack = React/Vue + Python (Django or Flask or similar) + AWS/GCP/etc. The more experience you have with these, the better! Experience with JSON + SQL are very important in terms of working with data Knowledge of REST JSON APIs, oAuth, SAML, and other integration approaches Be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing Compensation This listing is for part-time positions with fraction. Fractional positions can be done in conjunction with any existing job (keep your day job!).
