This is an exciting opportunity to shape the technical direction of a project with significant growth potential.\r\nJob Description\r\nWe're seeking a seasoned Senior Python Backend Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and scaling the product. This role involves working with FastAPI to create robust, high-performance APIs and integrating with AWS to ensure secure and scalable deployment. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to implement features, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to the project's success.\r\nWhat we are primarily looking for is a track record of building things that work and passion to make a better product.\r\nMain Responsibilities\r\nDesign, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using FastAPI.\r\nArchitect and implement backend services for scalability and performance.\r\nIntegrate with AWS and optimize infrastructure for reliability and cost-efficiency .\r\nWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on quality and best practices.\r\nParticipate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.\r\nTroubleshoot and debug production issues, implementing necessary fixes and improvements.\r\nCore Requirements\r\n5+ years of experience in backend development with proficiency in Python .\r\nAdvanced understanding of AWS cloud services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).\r\nGood understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and experience of writing complex queries.\r\nGood working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and version control systems.\r\nExperience leveraging modern AI coding assistants and agentic tools to ship production code while keeping strong engineering judgment.\r\nExperience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy or similar frameworks is a plus .\r\nExperience in Medtech or other regulated environments is a plus .\r\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\r\nAbility to work independently and in a team, with strong communication skills.\r\nSo what's next?\r\nReview\r\nWe will read carefully your submitted application.
