Meade, MDExperience: Network security hardening experienceSpecific knowledge of CISCO switches, routers and firewalls to include the Cisco 9300 series switchesDemonstrated ability to design and develop rack configurations drawings and network diagramsExpertise and knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, security appliances and architectures of network as a serviceNetwork security and network hardening experience in DoD environmentsSupport for SSP developmentNetwork TroubleshootingEvaluation of message receiving functionsAssessment of Acks and NacksAbility to understand specific functionsDrawing and configuration of racksAssess if network is configured correctlyReview firewall traffic (use of Packet Tools and Tripwire)Tools: Wireshark and othersAbility to determine which side of the network problem is from a connection standpointNetwork Requirements Evaluation and developing network diagrams in Visio, PowerPoint and ExcelPhysical Network Construction (installation of switches, fiber, cables security devices and more) on SERD for SCS/ESBAssistance to tamper and concealment group in assessing needs for design and deployed networkHAIPE MTU assessment and reviewFiber installation and removalExperience with JIRA, Confluence and similar toolsA seasoned systems/network engineer with over 20 hands on years’ experience preferably in an intelligence community environment. The candidate should have experience with CISCO switches, routers and firewalls, dell and other servers, network laptops, network debug and analysis tools such as Wirehsark and Tripwire. The candidate should also have experience with devices such as Palo Alto, Haipe or other security appliances.Additional InformationSalary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to: Knowledge, skills, & abilities, Years of experience, Education/Certifications, Program placement, Duties & responsibilities, and Internal equity. More detailed information will be provided once those factors are known and addressed.OVERTIME STATEMENT: 40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.BONUS STATEMENT: All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter.
