This individual will assess the need for ongoing process improvements and ensure these initiatives are created and implemented. They will strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives. The Manager, Technical Operations will provide management of the service Estimation, Project, and Contract Managers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nOwnership of service projects, service customers, and service initiatives from conception to closure.\nResponsible for the project’s outcome.\nDefines the clear vision for the Project and provides support and removes roadblocks for the project team.\nSupport the business development process, through the writing of proposals, estimates and project close out documents of projects. Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.\nIn-person site visits/meetings with customers and stakeholders.\nTasked with making communication easy and transparent regarding project issues as well as decisions on services.\nWork closely with customers, internal teams, and assigned Project Managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for services and projects.\nCreate purchase orders and/or vendor statements of work, and/or vendor requirements to ensure procured products and services meet all requirements to achieve program goals.\nCreate written estimates and proposals for services and projects including:\nEstimate in terms of labor hours, materials and outside procured services.\nCollaborate with the customer to define the specific tasks to be completed, and final buy-off criteria.\nIdentify changes of work scope when they are being requested and negotiate corresponding contract changes.\nDevelop new processes and procedures to support the strategic direction of the organization.\nProvide matrix to ensure growth is sustainable.\nManage Services Project Managers in their day-to-day performance by ensuring that milestones/goals are met with adherence to approved budgets.\nDefine the program controls, or the processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to manage the program and provide leadership monthly and quarterly reports to show the health of the program.\nOversee and manage support functions that may include financial management, subcontractor management, schedule execution, risk management, and quality control.\nIdentify, analyze, and implement business process improvement on the program that includes conducting root cause analysis, gap analysis and process mapping.\nDemonstrate the ability to achieve and exceed program cost, schedule, technical, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.\nConduct regular program staff meetings to control program plan; perform weekly and monthly status report as well as quarterly program reviews for the customer and upper management.\nSupport program management by reviewing progress and approving cost (i.e., approving subcontractor invoices).\nDevelop project plan and schedule. Prioritize, assign, and track the scheduled task and financials.\nDeliver innovative solutions and efficient processes/procedures that reduce program operating expenses, mitigate risk, and increase annual revenue.\nOther assigned tasks or duties requested by management and/or customer.\nQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:Desired\nBachelor's degree in business administration, communications, computer science or related field.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certifications.\nHandling of project and program management methodology and techniques.\nUnderstanding of the wider objectives of the program.\nAbility to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management.\nStrong leadership and management skills.\nStrong estimation and resource allocation procedures.\nManaging performance and profitability.\nFinancial planning and strategy.\nPromoting process improvement.\nStrategic planning.\nDealing with complexity, analyzing information, and implementing company vision.\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in project/program management.\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical industry.\nExperience in estimating and proposal writing.\nStrong work ethic and self-motivation.\nTechnical Knowledge: Scope, cost, schedule, and risk identification.\nStrategic Management: Understand planning, prioritization, and the best management method for each project. Understanding corporate goals and how the project ties into the business.\nLeadership and Soft Skills: Motivate and guide a team to move in the right direction.\nExceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization.\nMust be a US Citizen\nComputer and Networking Skills:\nProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and software.\nComputer Maintenance Management System software\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nContract and Project Management teams in Services and Operations.\nPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
