The engineer will serve as a technical leader, helping drive architectural decisions, implementing high-performance solutions, and mentoring team members in advanced HPC methodologies.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance parallel and distributed software systems\nOptimize applications for performance across CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and network layers\nImplement scalable algorithms for large-scale HPC environments\nDevelop automation scripts to streamline system operations and development workflows\nInstall, configure, and support COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software packages and libraries in Linux environments\nAnalyze and optimize application performance using advanced HPC techniques\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship on parallel computing strategies and HPC best practices\nCommunicate complex HPC concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nQualifications:\nActive TS/SCI w/ Polygraph\nMaster’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 5 years of relevant experience or\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 7 years of relevant experience\n9 years of relevant Software Engineering experience\nExperience working with Linux CLI and Linux-based tools\nExperience developing Bash scripts to automate processes\nRecent software development experience with C/C++ and Python\nStrong experience with parallel programming models such as MPI, OpenMP, and CUDA\nDeep understanding of:\nMulti-threading and concurrency\nMemory hierarchy and cache optimization\nNUMA architectures\nVectorization and SIMD optimization\nExperience implementing and maintaining parallel and distributed algorithms optimized for performance and scalability\nSubject matter expertise in parallel computing strategies and statistical modeling\nExperience installing, configuring, optimizing, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software and libraries in Linux environments\nStrong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills\nExperience using Git version control\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with SQL databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL\nExperience with distributed data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark\nExperience working with HPC job schedulers, including Slurm\nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker, containerd, or Podman\nExperience using the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA and Confluence\nSalary Range: USD $160,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.\n\nThe Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
