This position is responsible for designing manual test cases in support of software products (internal and external) in an Agile Teams software development lifecycle. This position requires technical experience performing test data preparation, manual test creation/execution, and test results analysis. This includes documenting detailed test methods and procedures for use by QA and Operations team members.\n\nThis position is based in Phoenix Arizona; Denver Colorado; or Grand Junction, Colorado and requires local residency in one of these base locations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:\n\nCollaborates within an Agile Teams methodology to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and products developed.\nWrites and executes test cases and supporting data sets.\nIdentifies test requirements from technical specifications and business use case scenarios including 3rd party components.\nMonitor and report on the status of testing efforts, defect tracking, and weekly time accounting.\nEffectively manage through complex technical challenges with clear timely decision making and incisive, creative problem solving.\nProvide analysis and recommendations to the development and enhancements of QA procedures, tools, and methods.\nOccasionally required to be available for after-hours work, outside of normally scheduled hours.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n\nSkills\n\nTesting experience with some or all of the following: SQL and or Mongo, APIs, web services.\nExperience with XML or JSON or REST.\nStrong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.\nStrong problem solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.\nProven aptitude for seeking creative solutions to multifaceted problems.\nSelf-motivated, works tasks independently, and collaborates within the Agile team.\nThrives in a fast-paced environment working on simultaneous projects.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience with HL7 messaging standard.\nExperience with Postman and Swagger desired.\nElectronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience.\n\nEducation/Experience\n\nMinimum of 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience required.\nBachelor’s or Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline required.\n\nWork Environment\n\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
