The selected candidate will primarily be focused on project management activities such as planning, installation, material purchasing, resource management, subcontracting, documentation, and overall delivery of the project. Delivery will be focused on exceeding customer expectations while meeting or improving budget, schedule, scope, and quality targets. An APM may also be assigned to work in a support role for a Project Manager on large and complex projects that require additional PM assistance with primary responsibilities focused on project administration, coordination, and document management\r\nResponsibilitiesOverall exceptional Project delivery and customer service\r\nDevelopment and execution of all project-related documents and deliverables such as:\r\nProject schedule\r\nTest & Acceptance Plan, Communications Plan, Risk Analysis and Mitigation Plan, Unique customer requirements/rules and standards\r\nMaterial Procurement and Delivery Schedule\r\nInternal/external Kick-off meetings\r\nWeekly Project Status Reports\r\nPunch lists\r\nAs-Built/Closeout\r\nEffectively and efficiently manage subcontractors/vendors\r\nDeveloping and maintaining an integrated project schedule including tasks, durations, resources, milestones and all dependencies\r\nProviding on time completion of all activities related to contract administration, contractual requirements, change control process, change orders, submittals, procurement, deliverables, and schedule.\r\nPreparing and submitting weekly customer status reports.\r\nResponsible for project procurement including identifying and communicating long-lead items, shipping status, and onsite delivery coordination. Additionally, developing and maintaining a material tracker for material that is ordered, staged, delivered, or installed.\r\nDeveloping and adhering to the project Safety plan.\r\nEnsuring the budget is properly tracked and managed utilizing budget tracking and job costing tools.\r\nEnsuring that invoicing is completed on time\r\nScheduling and facilitating regularly cadenced project meetings required to coordinate work activities with team members, vendors, and customer’s management team.\r\nQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\n0–3 years of project coordination or project management experience, preferably in low-voltage systems, construction, technology integration, or related fields.\r\nInternship or prior experience supporting project managers or working on project teams is a plus.\r\nTechnical SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); working knowledge of MS Project or similar scheduling tools.\r\nFamiliarity with project management software such as Procore, Smartsheet, or equivalent is desirable.\r\nUnderstanding of basic project accounting principles including budgeting, job costing, and invoicing.\r\nProject Management AbilitiesBasic knowledge of project lifecycle phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.\r\nAbility to develop and manage schedules, track deliverables, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.\r\nCapable of managing subcontractors, vendors, and coordinating procurement activities.\r\nCommunication & Interpersonal SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills for creating project documentation and interacting with clients and internal teams.\r\nCustomer service-oriented with a focus on exceeding client expectations.\r\nEffective at conducting meetings, status updates, and coordinating team efforts.\r\nOrganizational & Problem‑Solving SkillsHighly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively across multiple projects.\r\nProactive in identifying risks and issues with a solutions-oriented mindset.\r\nDetail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities.\r\nOther RequirementsAbility to travel to project sites as needed.\r\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record (if required for site visits).\r\nWillingness to learn and grow within the Project Management discipline, including pursuing PMP or CAPM certification in the future.\r\nCompany OverviewVision Technologies, a national and global systems integrator, provides IT services and solutions for commercial and federal clients.
