If so, this is the position for you.\r\nThe Cloud Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large Hadoop/Cloud clusters.\r\nCompetencies and Skills\r\nExperience with Large Language Models (LLM), Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)\r\nExpertise in AWS Cloud Architecture design and development\r\nAgile development experience with source code management practices and tools\r\nWell-grounded in Linux fundamentals and knowledge in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)\r\nKnowledge of security and compliance best practices\r\nKey Responsibilities and Capabilities\r\nAt least one (1) year of experience managing and monitoring large Hadoop clusters (>1000 nodes)\r\nExperience diagnosing and troubleshooting large-scale cloud computing systems including familiarity with distributed systems for storage and retrieval of data e.g. Apache Hadoop, Accumulo, CASSANDRA distributed databases, or SCALITY or SWIFT object stores.\r\nDemonstrated ability to work within a pre-defined mission focused team structure, follow SOPs, communicate effectively, accept constructive feedback, and receive technical guidance from senior level technical resources.\r\nWillingness to learn new technologies and leverage senior level resources to expand current technical foundation.\r\nAbility to work independently on complex tasks, educate and train more junior technical resources.\r\nAbility to plan, communicate, lead and oversee complex technical tasks requiring interaction with multiple groups.\r\nThree (3) years of experience writing software scripts using scripting languages including Bash, Perl, or Python.\r\nFive (5) years of experience demonstrating a fundamental understanding and working knowledge of core components of the Linux operating system including the management of user and group accounts in LDAP, DHCP, DNS, and TFTP configuration.\r\nExperience with configuration management tools including Puppet and SALT.\r\nUnderstanding of the end-to-end Linux PXE/Network provisioning process to include familiarity with Anaconda Kickstart configurations, RAID controller utilities, TFTP images, and disk detect scripts.\r\nExperience accessing and troubleshooting systems via remote utilities to perform hardware diagnosis and repair including VNC, serial over LAN interfaces, and IPMI, BIOS-level configuration.\r\nUnderstanding of overall corporate architecture as well as familiarity with OpenSSL and Java keystore manipulation.\r\nExperience troubleshooting commodity hardware platforms including previous experiences with SGI/HP hardware including SGI's J series.\r\nQualifications\r\nPosition Requirements (Experience and Education):\r\nAn Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required\r\nThree (3) years of experience is required.\r\nA Bachelor's Degree or 1 additional year of experience in lieu of degree\r\nAdditional Desired Qualifications\r\nHadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required to have one of the following Cloud Developer Certifications:\r\nAWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate\r\nAWS DevOps Engineer Professional\r\nCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)\r\nAdvanced knowledge of SSH tunneling and protocols including the implementation of dynamic SOCKS proxies as well as other ssh-based utilities, including rysn, pdsh, pdcp, and WinSCP.\r\nBasic understanding of low-level network concepts including VLANs, port channel bonding and layer2/layer 3 switch interactions.\r\nFamiliarity with software load balancers for large scale webservice implementations including HAProxy and nginx\r\nExperience with Kubernetes orchestration services and Docker images.\r\nExperience with log aggregation and search tools including Elasticsearch, Logstash, filebeats, Grafana, and rsyslog.\r\nBenefits\r\nPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees supporting this critical National Security program, including heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.\r\nSelected candidates may be eligible for enhanced professional development opportunities, including training, certification programs, and skill-building experiences tailored to individual strengths, career goals, and role-specific requirements.\r\nSalary Range\r\nTarget Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000.
