This role is centered on the design of practical, scalable network and infrastructure solutions in a pre-sales environment. A successful candidate will own solution designs while receiving ongoing coaching and support through peer collaboration and leadership engagement. Approximately 80% of projects support K–12 environments, offering stable projects, long-term customer relationships, and meaningful community impact.\r\nThere will be limited regional travel within Southwest Ohio is required for customer discovery and site surveys.\r\nWhy you'll love us\r\nWe care. DataServ/xFact offer a competitive compensation plan including paid holidays, PTO, discretionary bonuses, 401K (with match), medical, dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD benefits along with many other inclusive benefits and perks!\r\nWhat Success Looks Like\r\nIndependently owning assigned solution designs\r\nProducing clear, accurate, and supportable designs and quotes\r\nParticipating in peer review and coaching opportunities\r\nWhat you'll do\r\nPartner with Account Executives to design networking, wireless, and infrastructure solutions\r\nDevelop accurate quotes, scopes of work, and support design documentation\r\nParticipate in discovery calls, technical reviews, and customer-facing presentations\r\nTechnical & Field Engagement\r\nPerform site surveys and assessments to validate design assumptions\r\nParticipate in regional customer discovery meetings and solution walkthroughs\r\nResearch and recommend technologies aligned to customer needs and standards\r\nServe as a technical bridge between Sales, Design, and Project Delivery teams\r\nSupport clean handoff from design to implementation teams\r\nProvide design coverage and backup support for peer engineers as needed\r\nWhat we require\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, or related professional experience in design, implementation, and management of IT systems\r\nExperience\r\nFive years experience in the design, implementation and/or management of IT systems including networking, wireless, telephony and server systems.
