We are seeking a Engineer Tool 2 to support the design and development of advanced manufacturing tooling in a fast-paced aerospace environment.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-expectation settings, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign industrial tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments for production and experimental useDevelop tooling concepts and support equipment for new and existing aerospace programsCreate and review engineering drawings, inspection requirements, and verification plansCollaborate with Tool Designers to finalize detailed designsEvaluate designs for manufacturability, fit, form, and functionManage tooling projects including cost, schedule, procurement, and fabricationPartner with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery goalsInterface with vendors to support fabrication and ensure compliance with design specificationsInspect tooling for drawing accuracy and quality standardsSupport continuous improvement and process optimization initiativesSafety, Compliance & QualityDesign safe and efficient tooling and manufacturing processesIdentify and mitigate risks in accordance with safety standardsSupport root cause analysis, non-conformance investigations, and process improvements Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline4 - 10 years of relevant work experienceExperience with CAD tools such as NX or CATIAStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and machine shop practicesExperience with engineering drawing standards, including:GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Weld symbolsDrawing release and documentation requirementsStrong understanding of design for manufacturability and assemblyExcellent communication and organizational skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesU.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance Preferred QualificationsExperience in aerospace manufacturing environmentsBackground in tooling design, fabrication, and support equipmentExperience working with vendors and evaluating supplier capabilitiesFamiliarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systemsExperience with stress analysis or Finite Element Analysis (FEA)Project management experience (cost estimation, SOW development)Active DoD Secret Clearance (within last 5 years)Professional Engineering (PE) license (a plus) Why Join UsCompetitive pay and opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace programsCollaborative and innovative work environmentExposure to advanced tooling and manufacturing technologies Apply with your Updated resume ASAP.
