{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"c614ef8259e20850bdf48870","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c614ef8259e20850bdf48870","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/c614ef8259e20850bdf48870","title":"Programming Assistant","description":"Join to apply for the Programming Assistant role at Inside Higher Ed\n1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants\nJoin to apply for the Programming Assistant role at Inside Higher Ed\nGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.\nDepartment\n\nMulticultural & Community Engagement and Success Initiatives\nJob Title\n\nProgramming Assistant\n\nPosition Type\n\nStudent\n\nDivision\n\nPresident\n\nDepartment\n\nMulticultural & Community Engagement and Success Initiatives\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Center forMulticultural & Community Engagement and Success Initiatives seeks a Programming Assistant who is self-motivated, creative, dependable, and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills;\nThe candidate must be an excellent problem solver who can work with minimal supervision and maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive information;\nThe student must have the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with students, parents, university personnel, and the general public in a fast-paced (and sometimes loud) environment;\nProvides front desk services with clerical office duties, including answering and greeting visitors, telephones with proper etiquette, filing, stocking supplies, operating copier and fax machine, disinfecting/cleaning areas, organizing storage areas, processing letters/emails, taking meeting minutes, running campus errands, data entry, and assisting with special events;\nAssists with the Ram Pantry and other events focusing on promoting activities.\nAssists with research and development of monthly activities.\nAssists with the maintenance of the Center’s social media platforms;\nProvides outstanding customer service and appropriate information regarding our programs/activities;\nAssists with check-in and out equipment to students from the Lending Library;\nPresents information in a formal and informal setting to other students and visitors;\nExplains policies and procedures regarding our programs/activities;\nPerforms related duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nMust be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes;\nAppropriate semi-professional attire is required since we work in a centralized location and diverse population;\nAbility to work both remotely and in the Center as needed;\nAbility to be flexible and develop solutions to problems;\nAbility to work in a team and independently;\nKnowledge of technical skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher (or other creative design programs);\nDemonstrate excellent customer service and social skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nSchedules that fit the front desk operational requirements and coverage;\nKnowledge of the campus programs and policies;\nKnowledge of the MC Programs and Activities.\n\nSalary\n\n$13/hr\n\nEEO Statement\n\nAll qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to sex, race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.\n\nIn compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Angelo State University is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access to employment opportunities for qualified individuals with disabilities.
