The Azure DevOps Engineer will report to our Azure DevOps Manager with the opportunity to work from Veros’ headquarters in Santa Ana, California.\nThe candidate should have a good background in programming language concepts, including the use of object-oriented languages, and be able to apply that knowledge to the task at hand. This position will integrate and automate tools using REST, SOAP, proprietary APIs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), etc. The programming language used for a task may vary depending on the problem being solved and could include PowerShell, C#, Python, SQL, or similar programming languages. As Veros continues to evaluate various tools and technologies, this position will provide valuable input on the best automation and integration approaches and languages.\n\nPrincipal Responsibilities:\nIntegrating and automating tools, processes, and systems.\nWorking to continue automating and improving the DevOps pipeline.\nAutomating processes with Azure DevOps in a hybrid Cloud / on-premises model, as well as collaborating with Development and Quality Assurance teams to integrate and automate unit and other tests as part of the DevOps pipeline.\nPerforming scripting and automation\nBeing involved with other team tasks, such as performing builds and deployments, knowledge management, writing internal documentation, audit-related tasks, and completing administrative tasks.\nWorking with various teams within the company and should have some interest in the following areas: software development, software and systems architecture, quality assurance, cloud migration, IT infrastructure, databases, system administration, and process improvement.\n\nQualifications and Requirements:\nExperience working with Microsoft Windows Server platforms, including IIS and Windows services. Most of the work will be in these environments.\nExperience automating processes, building, and deploying ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core applications to IIS.\nExperience writing PowerShell scripts or previous software development experience.\nAbility to apply good software development practices to scripting and automation (such as unit testing, source control, code reuse, modularization, creating subroutines, design patterns, object-oriented design, etc.)\nGood understanding of SDLC lifecycle concepts including versioning, source control, defect tracking, automated build systems, and production controls.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving skills are essential.\nA self-starter who can assess and resolve problems with moderate to limited supervision and has a commitment and love of DevOps.\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to follow established standard operating procedures and processes.\n\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications:\nExperience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.\nBasic to intermediate level programming experience with .NET, C#, ASP.NET.\nDemonstrated experience in improving software development life cycle such as scrum.\nFamiliarity with Azure and Azure DevOps implementation and administration.\nFamiliarity with Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience writing basic SQL queries and working with databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, or SQL Server.\nAdministrative experience on Windows Server platforms.\nExperience working with IT infrastructure (networking, load balancers, firewalls, etc.)\nBasic proficiency with Linux (navigation, shell scripting).\n\nSponsorship: Candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card due to the type of work that will be performed as a Federal Contractor.\n\nVeros is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
