This position will involve testing of small to medium size software enhancements. The ideal candidate will have experience with testing application software, have the technical ability to validate data updates to the database, along with strong interpersonal skills to connect with both technical and non-technical associates.\nThis role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAs a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications through meticulous testing and collaboration with multi-functional teams.\nYou will play a meaningful role in identifying bugs, usability issues, and other potential problems before our products are deployed to customers.\nReview Requirements, User Stories and Tech Design to expertly provide estimates, and prepare/execute test cases to identify high risk areas specific to a project.\nDefines, creates, and manipulates test data.\nLogs defects and collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans.\nComplete tests based on test plans to ensure software meets end-user requirements.\nWork as part of an Agile development team embracing the Agile Scrum process.\nApply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC.\nContribute towards Test Automation Strategy by identifying critical / regression test cases to be automated.\nQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Related or Business related field is typically required to perform at expectation.\nSoftware Testing or Software Support can be substituted for education.\nMinimum of 3-5 years software testing experience, preferred.\nStrong knowledge of SDLC, various testing concepts (e.g. functional, usability, performance) and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.\nBasic understanding of SQL.\nHands on experience of Automation preferred.\nAbility to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in written and non-written formats.\nProactive communicator who gains consensus and brings up issues as appropriate to keep projects on schedule.\nExcellent communication & interpersonal skills, attention to detail.\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
