Students explore coding, AI, robotics, game development, and digital creativity through engaging, project-based classes.\nWe are preparing to launch our Boca Raton program and are looking for an energetic instructor who can connect with children, confidently lead a group, and make technology exciting and easy to understand.\nThis Saturday position is especially well suited for current college or university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals studying or working in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Education, Digital Media, or a related field.\nPosition Details\nPart-time 1099 independent contractor position\nSaturdays, from morning through early afternoon\nApproximately 5 hours per week\n$22–$25 per hour, depending on experience\nIn-person classes in Boca Raton\nAdditional classes at other Boca Raton locations may become available\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead coding and future technology classes for children ages 7–14.\nDeliver lessons using our complete, ready-to-use curriculum and teaching materials.\nExplain technical concepts clearly and in an age-appropriate way.\nGuide students through hands-on projects and problem-solving activities.\nKeep students engaged, motivated, and actively participating.\nMaintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment.\nSupport demo classes for prospective students.\nCommunicate professionally with parents and the Code Space Lab team.\nMake sure the required equipment, accounts, and software are ready before class.\nWhat We Value Most\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nConfidence speaking in front of and leading groups.\nPositive energy and the ability to connect with children.\nAbility to explain complex ideas in a simple and engaging way.\nExperience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, working at camps, or leading children’s activities.\nStrong classroom management and interpersonal skills.\nBasic knowledge of coding, computers, or digital technology.\nAbility to learn new platforms and follow a structured curriculum.\nClear and professional spoken English.\nReliability, punctuality, and consistent Saturday availability.\nReliable transportation and ability to travel to teaching locations within Boca Raton.\nWillingness to complete a background check.\nStrong communication and presentation skills are more important to us than advanced programming experience. A Computer Science degree is not required.
