The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and confident managing projects with minimal oversight.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead structural engineering projects from proposal through completion.\n\nCoordinate directly with senior engineers, executives, and clients.\n\nApply sound engineering judgment to design, evaluation, and problem-solving tasks.\n\nVisit job sites as necessary to assess project conditions and progress.\n\nTechnical Design & Oversight\nPerform structural analysis and design for a variety of project types.\n\nEnsure work adheres to industry standards and best practices.\n\nUse software tools such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, and Excel; basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting platforms is required.\n\nSupervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff.\n\nEnsure clear communication and quality control across project phases.\n\nCoordinate internal resources and manage project timelines and budgets.\n\nClient Engagement & Development\nParticipate in business development and marketing activities with targeted clients.\n\nFoster long-term client relationships through professional service delivery.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on structural design.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.\n\nFamiliarity with applicable codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, NDS, Building Codes).\n\nProficient with engineering software tools; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting tools preferred.\n\nAuthorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.\n\nCertified as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training / Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT / FE)\n\nBase salary: $80,000$90,000, plus performance-based bonuses\n\nHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n\n401(k) with company match\n\nThis position will be supported onsite in the Naperville office.\n\nIf you're a driven engineer seeking an opportunity to grow your career with a firm that values technical excellence and autonomy, we'd love to connect.
