Maintenance","description":"Job Title: Machine Maintenance Assistant\n\nJOB SUMMARY\n\nThe primary responsibility of the Machine Maintenance Assistant is to keep the manufacturing facility and all production processes mechanically operating and producing quality products in a cost-effective manner.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITES\n\nEnsures speed of repairs, minimizes downtime, limits labor usage, avoids start-up glitches, promotes safety, and addresses problems in a pro-active way.\nOversees and maintains preventive maintenance programs scheduled by his supervisor.\nConducts regular assessment of facility needs, improvements and repairs and routinely inspects operating machinery, equipment and supporting systems.\nMaintains and repairs machinery, equipment, systems, mechanized vehicles, and building structures.\nEnsures production operations and assists with repairs and maintenance schedules.\nEnsures safe work practices and ensures a safe work environment.\nOversees and monitors the scheduling and safe use of all shop equipment, and that they are in good working order.\nResolves maintenance problems and issues by interfacing with plant management, shift supervisors, and warehouse production.\nThoroughly familiar with physical plant services\nMonitors and minimizes down time, identifies and advocates for improvement opportunities.\nAbility to work additional hours as needed.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School education or equivalent is required, further education preferred.\n2 years of experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred.\nWorking knowledge in operation and maintenance of manufacturing facility and equipment\nMust be familiar with electrical schematics.\nMust possess knowledge of OSHA and Lock-Out Tag-Out requirements.\nMust be computer literate with Office, technical parts, and maintenance software packages.\nMust have a current driver’s license.\nAbility to read, speak, and write English is required.\nAbility to speak Spanish is preferred.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWork involves walking, talking, hearing, and using a variety of manufacturing equipment.\nVision abilities require close vision assessments.\nRequired to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.\nRequired to routinely stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl in order to maintain/repair building and equipment.\nModerately loud noise levels in plant
