Position OverviewPay: $55,000.00 - $60,000 per yearJob Type: Full-time/ Minimum 50 hours per weekMust have reliable transportation and willing and able to travel across the Houston Area.The Director of Training is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading alltraining systems across the organization. This role ensures consistentexecution of brand standards, operational excellence, and revenue growth through effectiveteam development and high-performing training programs.This position plays a critical role in supporting new store openings, developing future leaders,and driving top-line sales. The Director must be highly organized,hands-on, and adaptable in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Training & DevelopmentDesign, implement, and continuously improve company-wide training programs for all positions (crew members to management)Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and operational playbooksLead onboarding and certification processes for new hires and management teamsSupport and execute training for new store openingsConduct in-store training audits to ensure consistency and adherence to brand standardsDevelop leadership pipelines by coaching and mentoring managers into higher-level rolesEnsure all employees are trained on updated systems, procedures, and expectationsOperations & Brand StandardsEnsure all training processes align with company brand standardsPartner with operations leadership to improve store performance and efficiencyIdentify gaps in execution and implement corrective training solutionsStandardize processes across all locations to support scalabilityAssist in developing new systems, workflows, and operational improvementsLeadership & AccountabilityLead by example with a hands-on, solution-oriented approachHold store leadership teams accountable for training completionTravel between locations as needed to support training initiativesAdapt to changing business needs and take on additional responsibilities as requiredPlay a key role in supporting the company's rapid growth and expansionSuccess Metrics (KPIs)Training completion and certification rates across all locationsStore performance improvements tied to training initiativesOrder accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction/reviewsSuccessful execution of new store training and openingsInternal promotion and leadership development ratesAdditional ExpectationsThis role requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and adaptability. Responsibilitiesmay evolve as the company grows, and the Director is expected to take initiative in developingnew systems, improving processes, and supporting overall business objectives.RequirementsExperienceMinimum 2-5 years in a leadership role focused on training, learning & development, or operations.Multi-unit or corporate restaurant experience strongly preferred.Training & Development ExpertiseProven ability to design, implement, and scale training programs across multiple locations.Experience developing onboarding, leadership development, and skills-based training initiatives.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.Operational KnowledgeDeep understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) functions.Ability to align training programs with operational goals, KPIs, and brand standards.Experience standardizing processes and driving consistency across locations.Leadership & Management SkillsDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop training teams and field leaders.Strong project management and organizational skills.Ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Communication SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtual.Ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging training content.Analytical & Strategic ThinkingAbility to assess training effectiveness using data and performance metrics.Experience identifying gaps and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term talent development and retention.Technology & ToolsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience with LMS platforms, HRIS systems, and training analytics tools.Familiarity with digital training content creation tools is a plus.Other RequirementsAbility to travel to restaurant locations as needed.Flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends.Passion for hospitality, people development, and creating exceptional guest experiences.BenefitsEmployee discountPaid time offPaid trainingOpportunity for career growth and advancement
